It is never to early to start a gift list.
I am always thinking about presents. Yes, that part of the holidays that I find the most stressful and the most rewarding, gift giving, is always on my mind. I keep my ears open to anything that someone might say that they would like to have. Then I write it down. So, at this point, my husband wanting a big screen plasma TV is on the list. (No honey, it won't be on the final list after the budget gets made.) I just find that if it is on the list, my mind can forget about it and move on to other things that he might like. At this time the sky is the limit.
I am using http://www.froogle.com/ shopping list feature to keep my list. I am also putting together a wish list that can be emailed to family when they ask what I want for Christmas. I think this is a great way to keep track of your list because there is a note feature. With the note feature I can put who I think the gift is perfect for. I can also see some pricing, so when it is time to put together the budget, I can see how much things will likely cost.
I also like to craft gifts for the holidays. I find it makes my budget go farther and adds a nice personal touch. I always look for something simple and fast. Check out my Christmas Craft ideas. You might be surprised how even the non-crafty types out there can put together something simple that others will enjoy receiving.
My Question for you: Are you a list person? If so, do you have any tips for us?
